Awareness Booth Instructions

For those supporters who will have an Awareness Booth at our festival, we ask that you please check your email for a message sent on June 13 from fuquay-varinapridecelebration@gmail.com. It may be in your Spam or Junk folder (if you did not receive it, please reach out to us at that email). In it, you will find specifics on your booth location, load-in time, and a custom graphic to share on your social media or website.

Event Details:

Load-In:

In order to make sure load in is quick and easy for all our supporters, we ask that you adhere to the following instructions when arriving:

  1. Only arrive during your scheduled load in time (either 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.). If you need an earlier or later load in time, please email us and we’ll see if we can accommodate. All unloading must be completed by 11:30 a.m.
  2. Pull up next to the fence nearest your space (please see Festival Map).
  3. Unload all your items into your space. Please unload completely before beginning to set up.
  4. Your booth space will be marked with a flag. All booth spaces are 10’ x 10’.
  5. Move your car to a parking space away from the fence.
  6. Return to set up your Awareness Booth.
  7. If you have questions, the FV Pride Committee will be on-site in TEAL shirts. There will also be volunteers to assist with unloading and set up.

Reminder:

The intent of an Awareness Booth is much like an expo where you are promoting your goods and/or services, collecting potential customer information and directing potential customers to where they may purchase products or schedule services at a future date. Due to our limitations, we are not able to allow any Awareness Booths to take money or payment in any form during the event. Please point them to a webpage or online shop to place any orders.

Event Promotion:

We would love your help in promoting our event and publicizing your support. If you do decide to share the event, we ask that you link back to fv-pride.org or our social channels (Facebook | Instagram).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Awareness Booth?

What is an Awareness Booth

Due to local ordinance and policy at our Festival host location, we are unable to have traditional vendors at our festival. Any exchange of funds onsite (excluding the brewery or food trucks provided by the host location) for products or services during the festival is prohibited. The only exchange of funds onsite during the festival may be in the form of a donation to the LGBT Center of Raleigh. This puts us in a unique situation where we want supportive businesses & organizations to have a space to promote themselves, but are unable to financially capitalize onsite during the festival. With the help of our festival location host, we came up with Awareness Booths! A 10×10 space for a business, organization or individual to promote themselves. Our awareness booth holders have ranged from law firms, therapy offices, and hair stylists to authors, animal rescue organizations, and the American Legion – our awareness booths, much like the queer community, are incredibly diverse.
